I am inspired by dance postures, especially those with a twisted movement, as you encounter in theater, and  mainly in street dance. I keep trying to sketch that movement. I then look for how to abstract a pose on a pedestal, or on the wall, or hanging freely in space.

(Like Frank O. Gerhy in his architecture or George Braque in his paintings).

While varying, partially transparent images emerge with room for interpretation by the viewer.

Reused Bankirai wood slats prove to be a grateful material for project-based designs of the sculptures from my sketches.
